GoFundraise Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of this website and all services and online tools that GoFundraise (GF) makes available to fundraisers, not-for-profits, charities, donors, registrants and all other users of the GoFundraise service, collectively called Users of GoFundraise (the Service).
From time to time GF may update or modify these Terms and Conditions through a link on our site. While we endeavor to provide notice to you of any changes to the pricing, financial or other Terms and Conditions, whether or not we provide notice to you, you will be bound by the revised terms and conditions for all subsequent uses of this Service after such modifications have been made. If you do not agree to any of the Terms and Conditions set forth herin, you may not use this Service.
INFORMATION ON WEBSITE
Information on the GoFundraise website including the opinions posted by Users of the GF Service or website do not necessarily reflect our views. We do not assume responsibility for the accuracy of any information, ideas opinions posted by users and we are not liable for any claims, damages or losses resulting from such information, ideas or opinions.
1.Every charity has a contractual relationship with GoFundraise authorising us to collect money on their behalf.
2.Not-for profit organisations are accepted at our discretion.
3.Not-for profit organisations must be possess a Registered Charity Number to participate in this service.
4.Not-for profit organisations have similar names. It is the user’s responsibility to check.
5.GoFundraise cannot be responsible for the actions of a nominated charity – or for how they use your money.
6.GoFundraise cannot be responsible for any unauthorised use of a credit card. Unless an unauthorised use of card payment is proven. If a card has been lost, stolen or is proved to be used without authorisation you will need to contact your provider and comply with their methods of reporting.
7.When a donation or transaction is made, it can only be disputed if it is a proven case of fraud, and all amounts are in Australian dollars (AUD), unless otherwise advised.
8.GoFundraise cannot be held responsible for the unauthorised use of a password for your page. If you become aware of any unauthorised use of your password, we recommend that you change your password immediately and notify us at once.
9.GoFundraise expect all users of this site to behave in a responsible, legal manner. A user may not upload racist or offensive material. A user may not infringe copyright laws by using other people’s material without their express permission.
10.A user may not misrepresent their identity or affiliation with any person or group.
11.A user may not use our web site to send junk email or forward information to any person who does not give their expressed permission.
12.GoFundraise reserves the absolute discretion to remove any page at will.
13.Children under the age of 16 using the GoFundraise website must be supervised by an adult.
14.GoFundraise reserves the right to increase our charges for transactions and subscription fees with one month’s notice to be posted on our web site. Subscription fees can also apply to participating not-for profit organisations.
15.GoFundraise charges a small 6% service fee or (5.75% where an * is displayed at the end of the beneficiaries name) that is deducted from gross donations collected on behalf of the charity or not-for-profit organisation. After an introductory period, there is also a $20 plus GST monthly hosting & administration fee payable by the beneficiary that allows GoFundraise to provide ongoing services.
A Credit card processing fee* (for Visa & Master Card) of 0.99% and a 30-cent per transaction fee are also deducted, Amex fees are 3.575% currently, these fees are subject to change without notice.

AUTHORISATION TO FUNDRAISE FOR YOUR CHOSEN CHARITY
|
As per the NSW Charitable Fundraising ACT, 1991 applicable for NSW Fundraiser.
By creating a Fundraising Page, you will be issued with an Authorisation to Fundraise (ATF) by your chosen Charity or Cause (Authorised Fundraiser). This Authority will be signed by GoFundraise on behalf of the Authorised Fundraiser (AF) and will confirm that you are Authorised to Fundraise as per the details that you have specified, starting from the date of creation and expiring on the specified date (if no date is defined then 6 months from the creation date, but no longer than 12 months). You will only be Authorised to Fundraise as a face-to-face collector or otherwise through the GoFundraise.com.au site, where receipts will be automatically emailed to Donors.
Fundraising face-to-face
If you are Fundraising face-to-face then you must download, print out and wear your Identification Badge when Fundraising. This must be returned to the Authorised Fundraiser when the appeal has ended. This Identification Badge & letter of Authorisation to Fundraise can be access via the “Authority to Fundraise” tab located in the My Fundraising Page area of your Account.
Code of Conduct & Fundraising Guidelines
By creating this Fundraising Page you also agree abide by the Authorised Fundraiser’s Code of Conduct (COC) or Fundraising Guidelines, which may also be located in your My Fundraising Page area. If you are unaware of what these are then please contact your Charity or Cause for a copy. If you do not agree to abide by these conditions then you are required to not create or delete your Fundraising Page immediately.
GoFundraise is not liable and bears no responsible for activities, opinions, misconduct, damage to property, misrepresentation, injury, loss of life or otherwise caused by or to Fundraiser while conducting activities on behalf of any Authorised Fundraiser. The opinions of Authorised Fundraisers are not necessarily the opinions of GoFundraise.
